Former student Stephanie Sharp is our Star Student this week. After finishing her A Levels in the Summer, Stephanie travelled to Thailand to work as a volunteer in a school and medical centre. This was part of her gap year prior to going to University.
She taught English to all ages and described to us the startling comparisons between education here and in schools in Thai villages. Stephanie also had the opportunity to travel around the countryside and helped deliver animals to villages. She endured temperatures of 39 degrees and said that she got through 20 bottles of insect repellent!
This was an unforgettable experience for Stephanie and was one that she can thoroughly recommend.
