Year 9 students at Thomas Telford School have been very busy creating colourful art work for Severn Hospice in Apley and a group of them visited the Hospice recently to see their efforts in place.

The students readily took on the task to produce several pieces for display at the newly built Hospice and their work reflected nature throughout the year from autumn leaves to spring flowers and summer fruits.

Teacher in charge of Art at the School, Mrs Stephanie Warwick said: "The students rose to the challenge, cooperating to work together to produce these ambitious large scale pieces and even stayed after School to ensure the pictures were of a really high standard so we were delighted to have the chance to see results in situ."

Sarah Hawthorne from Severn Hospice added: "Staff, volunteers and patients at the Hospice have all commented on the beautiful pieces that have been donated. I cannot thank the students and staff at Thomas Telford enough for their generosity."
