Thomas Telford School, working in association with Tesco Homeplus, have arranged a series of fashion shows to launch Tesco’s Spring clothing range in Telford. Three shows will take place over the weekend: Saturday 21st March at 11.00am and 2.00pm and Sunday 22nd March at 1pm.

The fashion shows have been arranged by students following the BTEC National in Business and will be taking place at Tesco Homeplus on the Forge Retail Park in Telford. Clothes and accessories featured in the shows will be from the new Spring collection and are being launched in time for Mothering Sunday. The School will also be providing the models for the shows.

The shows will be raising money for the Tesco Charity of the Year and the Anthony Nolan Trust which Thomas Telford School’s BTEC National students have been supporting this year.

Clothing from the different ranges sold within the Telford store including Florence and Fred, Cherokee, Petite and True and will be modelled by on the ground floor of the store.

Tesco have kindly provided prizes for a draw which will take place over the weekend. Entry to the draw is free and will be through the completion of a feedback card.

A spokesperson from Tesco Homeplus said “We decided it would be a good way to help a local school get involved in local business and make customers aware of the Tesco range of clothing.”

Jeanette Furlong, Deputy Head of Thomas Telford School said “We are thrilled to be working with Tesco Homeplus for these fashion shows and it is a great opportunity for the students to gain hands-on experience of organising and delivering a large scale event. All of the students have worked extremely hard to ensure the success of the shows and they are looking forward to the events.”
